Afghan Taliban attacked a caravan of Afghan security forces in Sarobi district of Paktika province, Afghanistan, on Monday, as three vehicles transporting troops were hit by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). About ten soldiers were killed.
According to Taliban spokesman Zabih ullah Mujahid, insurgents trapped a caravan of three army vehicles in Hassan Norani, a small village, and detonated an IED. "The blast killed 10 soldiers and left dozens injured," Taliban spokesman claimed.
