KTG is a very strong group that is
running successfully at multiple locations. It has a very strong base in
multiple regions. The region where the command is given is one of the only
struggling regions of the company. The company is achieving success everywhere
and this situation highlights the fact that normal company policies are not
going to provide success in this region. It is very important first of all to
understand a region in order to devise a business strategy and plan for that
particular region. The company has a double structure of an operational branch
which is combined with a research branch. The research branch is also essential
as it is responsible for finding new market trends and identifying various
products and situations which can be used by the company to achieve success.
The research is done with a central control in KTG where all regional knowledge
centres report to the central station which controls the overall knowledge
flow. The local centre however needs to be given specific targets in this
regard in order to find out the current market situation regarding the new
opportunities found in the renewable energy sector. The knowledge stream leader
will be using the same employees but with a clear thinking, it will be able to
divert the strategy and time devotion of individual members towards finding out
the renewable energy sector locally. Such a knowledge project will also find
out the current strengths and weaknesses of current team members with respect
to this new market sector of renewable energy sources.
