Advancing ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) militants have captured four western Iraqi towns bordering Syria, government officials told the media.
ISIS that swept Northern Iraq about two weeks ago, are still mounting pressure on a faltering Iraqi regime led by Nouri al Maliki as they have taken control of key areas. Analysts say the recent takeover of four towns is a big blow to the government and security forces who had slipped away after ISIS stormed Mosul and Tikrit (Northern cities).
